100 ropes / 50 plants

February – June 2011
From February to June 2011 I made a rope a day using the local plants around me and documented this process in the blog.  The work was the result of receiving a making progress award from Hi-arts which culminated in an exhibition where the 100 ropes were displayed along with a short film by Catherine Weir.

The ropes are touring and being displayed in various venues. I produced a small book, entwined / suainte’ to highlight some of the ropes, this is available  here.
