Below are some examples of previous sculptural commissions.
Client: Private Client, England
Brief:To design and build a sculptural piece to be sited in a wild garden landscape
Details: The piece consists of several elements; living trees, a poem inscribed onto five tree labels and a seat built from Caithness slate.
Client feedback: ““I love the idea of a living sculpture”
Client:Private Client, Isle of Skye
Brief:To create a wall piece using heather for a specific wall
Details:This is a random wove heather piece, made to be the focal point of the room.
The final dimensions were 1.4m x 0.8m
Client Feedback: “It’s great, like a map of Tiree.”
Client: Food Link Skye, managed by An Tuireann Arts centre
Brief: Design a distinctive award which can be reused year after year.
Details: The piece needed to be sturdy so it could be used for many
years as well as reflect an aspect of Skye and be visually pleasing. It was
made using slate and Perspex with an image of grass.
The final dimensions were, 40cm x 10cm.
Client: Sluggans Woodland Park, Community Group
Brief:To design and build a permanent sculpture to create interest in the new woodland park.
Details:The sculptures I created used concrete, text and photographs to reflect the history of the site.
The sculptures were built with longevity in mind.The final dimensions of the concrete cube were 50cmx 40cm squared.
