Inverness city centre, 2006

This was a commission with Rosie Newman to do a temporary sculpture for Church street in Inverness as part of ‘Imagining the centre’ by Inverness City Partnership, this was about reflecting on Inverness’s recent city status.  Our piece involved a heather clad cube sitting in the middle of the street. Inside there was earth on the floor and bird song. Along the street we had the individual bird’s singing from hidden points. We were thinking about the habitat that had been there prior to the town being developed.
