Encircled by Gold

This book explores the background and development of the work which culminated with the exhibition ‘Encircled by Gold’. This is based around a specific archeological site on Skye which has been in continuous use from 5000 BC. Visiting the site regularly over a period of several years I brought along a large circular ‘cloak’ of canvas, using that to explore the place. This turned, in time, into a part of the landscape itself and this forms the cover of the book.
