This work was in two parts – ‘presence’ five floor to ceiling lines of peat using up to seven layers and five words installed around the gallery: absence, abundance, silence, essence, sustenance. The work arose from observing the shadow lines on the hills of past working and awareness of our distancing and insulation from this physical engagement with peat in particular.
